500 Para Commandos To Chase Pakistani Fear mongers In Jammu After Assaults

Military sources told news agency ANI that the Indian Army has deployed around 500 special forces commandos in the area to hunt down 50-55 Pakistani terrorists who had infiltrated the area to incite terrorism.

New Delhi: Faced with the infiltration of highly skilled Pakistani terrorists into the Jammu region, the Indian Army is recalibrating its deployment in the region based on intelligence inputs and security requirements.

Military sources told news agency ANI that the Indian Army has deployed around 500 commandos of the Special Forces in the region to hunt down 50-55 Pakistani terrorists who have infiltrated into the region to revive terrorism.

They said intelligence agencies have also strengthened their posture in the region and are working to eliminate the terror support infrastructure there, including ground personnel supporting the terrorists.

The Army has sent troops to the region, including a brigade of around 3,500-4,000 troops, to counter Pakistan's proxy aggression there, they said.

Top military officers on the ground are working to develop a strategy to hunt down and eliminate the terrorists, who are equipped with the most modern weapons and communication equipment, they added.

The Army already has counter-terrorism infrastructure in the area with the presence of two Rashtriya Rifles forces, including Romeo and Delta forces, as well as other regular infantry divisions in the area, they said.
